.ee is the gateway to Estonia!

A memorable domain name is one of the most important decisions when you start a business or build a brand. But choosing a registrar matters just as much. That choice affects your domain's security, the quality of service you get, and ultimately who actually owns your domain.

Estonian Internet Foundation (EIF) has developed proposed amendments to the .ee domain rules, driven by the objectives set out in the 2025–2027 EIF strategy. These changes are intended to help develop registry services that better meet the expectations of the community. We are now also inviting feedback on these proposals from the community.

This year's Nordic Domain Days brought together registries, registrars, investors, service providers, and policy and technology people from across the domain industry in Stockholm. The conversations and presentations kept circling back to the same idea: domain names aren't becoming less important - they're becoming less visible, more automated, and increasingly entangled with trust, data quality, cybersecurity, and AI.
