List of reserved domain names

According to Section 3.2.5 of the Domain Regulation, certain domains are reserved and can only be registered as Domain Names by entitled persons.

The list of reserved domains is established by the Estonian Internet Foundation (EIF) and published on the EIF website. The Management Board of EIF provisionally includes on the list of reserved domains those domain names that can only be registered by entitled persons to protect internet users from possibly malicious activities or misuse.

According to the Rules of the Domain Disputes Committee, a .ee domain name that is the subject of an appeal is also reserved if the registration of that domain name has been deleted. An entitled person may apply to register a reserved domain name within three years of the date of the Committee’s decision.

Domain name registration may be requested by submitting a domain name registration application set out in the Domain Rules, together with materials confirming the right to register the respective reserved domain name.
